Appendix 5 - Preferred Learning Styles
ESL New Arrivals Level DS (S1/S2) Term 4 2011
Key: Auditory –A; Visual – V; Kinaesthetic – K; Tactile – T
This survey and data collection on Preferred learning styles was produced by one of three AR Team colleagues, named Inna, who is also the school's curriculum coordinator (I am very privileged to have Inna on the AR Team). To sum up, based on first two preferred learning styles in level DS: six students preferred auditory style, five students are tactile learners, five students are kinaesthetic learners and four students preferred visual.
This information will help us to cater for student individual learning styles and plan our lessons considering the best way students can learn English and other subjects. We can group students according to their learning style preferences for particular projects and also we can form mixed groups that students will learn from each other and develop their skills in particular areas.
